Coffee Amikane, located in Tsukiji 6-chome, Chuo Ward, is a tiny coffee shop with just a handful of counter seats. Tucked slightly back from the fish market's lively flow, it preserves a peaceful, calm atmosphere.
The menu is refreshingly concise, centered on thoughtfully brewed black coffee and toast served with jam. The coffee balances clean acidity with aromatic roast depth, offering a comforting wake-up call. Alongside it, warm toast is served with fruit-forward jam, delivering the simple satisfaction of an unpretentious breakfast.
Operating hours are strictly limited to Thursday and Saturday mornings from 8:30 until noon, but making the effort for that short window is well worth it. Table-service dine-in is available, and payment is cash only.
